A Comparison of Mammography and Ultrasonography in the Evaluation of Breast Masses in Early Stage

Breasts are one of the secondary sexual characteristics in females. They rout for nutrition & growing infant till 4-6 months age. Breast diseases most common females any society. Multiple types benign breast lesions like fibroadenomas, simple cyst, abscess, lymph nodes enlargement and different malignancies pathologies breast. Up to 30% women suffer from disease at time their life this compels them take treatment. The prospective clinical study was achieved 283 ( age ranged between 20 60 years) had palpable lesion referred by managing surgeons radiological department Azadi Teaching Hospital, a period 8 (from January 2018 August same year). depended firstly all on examination/self-breast examination. Results:- patients were included with _ ys, diagnosed as fibroadenoma which is around 54.9% total cases studied, Fibrocystic (Duct ectasia, cysts, galactocele ) 19.3 %.Followed infection mastitis 15.4%, phyllodes tumor less than 1% approximately finally carcinoma 9.5%. In conclusions, results our encouraging applying US masses differentiating if it pointing benignant or malignancy status sonography shouldn't be generally applied defer biopsy solid mass.
